February Event

Venue
Third Culture Coffee, Bellevue, WA
1 in 3 women will die from cardiovascular disease — yet many don’t recognize it as their greatest health risk.
Join us this February, in honor of American Heart Month, for an in-person evening dedicated to women’s heart health through midlife and beyond.
Wholehearted: Heart Awareness for Women
An evening of education, insight, and meaningful connection
This February, in alignment with American Heart Month and the American Heart Association’s Women of Impact campaign, Wholehearted brings women together for a focused, informative conversation about cardiovascular health.
Wholehearted is designed for women seeking practical, evidence-informed guidance about caring for their hearts — particularly during perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women and is frequently underrecognized and undertreated. This evening centers on increasing awareness, strengthening understanding, and empowering informed conversations with your healthcare providers.
What to Expect
❤️ A physician-led heart health presentation and Q&A with Dr. Alisha Ghajar, ND, MSCP, exploring hormones, menopause, lifestyle factors, and cardiovascular risk
❤️ Clear guidance on what is typical, what may signal concern, and how to advocate for appropriate screening
❤️ The Heart of You — celebratory portraits with Photographer Ravina Sodhi
❤️ A reflective Valentine to your future self, mailed back to you next year
👗 Red, pink, or a heart-inspired touch is welcome if it feels fun — entirely optional.
15% of each ticket will be donated to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative, supporting research, education, and advocacy focused specifically on women’s cardiovascular health.
I am co-hosting this event with The Joy Collective, founded by past Uplift speaker Anne Pillsbury. Together, we’re two Eastside-based communities creating intentional, inspiring spaces where women can connect, grow, and rise together.
Hi! I’m Negar
Born in Tehran, Iran during a time of revolution and war, my earliest memories were filled with both family celebrations and the sound of bomb sirens. My family’s journey—from escaping conflict, living as refugees, and eventually immigrating to the United States—instilled a profound respect for perseverance, adaptability, and the power of collective support.
As an only child of immigrant parents who sacrificed everything for my future, I grew up with a strong commitment to education, ultimately earning a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science. Beyond academics, I learned that true growth comes from navigating challenges with grace and an unwavering growth mindset.
Throughout my professional and personal life, building community is a consistent anchor. Whether working in biotech, serving on school boards, or teaching dance to bring women together, I find deep fulfillment in creating environments where authenticity, support, and empowerment flourish.
Today, I am focused on reclaiming my purpose with intention—dedicated to fostering spaces where individuals, especially women, can connect, grow, and evolve together. I believe that continual growth, meaningful community, and living with gratitude are the foundations of a fulfilling life, and I am committed to embodying these principles every day.
